Cox Charities (www.coxcharitiescentral.org) is to award over $94,000 to greater Omaha area nonprofits in the month of August through its Community Investment grant program. The Cox Charities program, which is fully funded and decided on by local employees, is dedicated to making a positive impact in the areas of youth, education, social issues, and the arts. The Community Investment program is designed to assist 501 (c)(3) organizations with outstanding programs that benefit Nebraska and Iowa service areas.
“Through Cox Charities, our employees are excited to be able to give back to the communities where we live, work, and serve,” said Kim Rowell, market vice president for Cox Omaha. “Their generosity is allowing us to support 14 nonprofits in the area with grants up to $7,500, and that is something we are very proud of.”
This year’s Omaha-area community grant recipients are: Catholic Charities; Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands; First Responders Foundation; Foster Love, Inc.; Bags of Fun Omaha; Heartland Hope Mission; Made New Makerspace; Nebraska Diaper Bank; Nebraska Methodist Hospital Foundation; Papillion La Vista Schools Foundation; Partnership 4 Kids; Project Pink’d, Inc.; The Blue Bucket Project; WhyArts, Inc.
Cox Charities was founded in Omaha in 2014 to engage employees and strengthen community programs and education experiences in the area.
