Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital Recognizes Volunteers in April
April is National Volunteer Month, and Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital (MJEH, jehfoundation.org) is so excited to recognize their many volunteers for all they do every day. They thank them for their kind and caring manner and for being loyal to what they do as a Jennie Volunteer. Their volunteers add to the quality of services MJEH provides to their patients, their families, and the community.
Every day, MJEH’s volunteers help improve a patient’s stay at the hospital, whether helping deliver newspapers and flowers or working in the gift shop, at the information desk, or in the outpatient surgery department. Ultimately everyone works together to promote the wellbeing and safety of the patients. MJEH welcomes new volunteers to join this incredibly compassionate team who are the heart and soul of the hospital. One Jennie volunteer puts it this way: “I do it because it makes me feel good. I believe that any act of kindness, whether it’s a smile, a hug, whatever the act, it creates a ‘ripple effect’ and these good vibes come back to us 10-fold, every time.”
At MJEH, they value their volunteers and thank them for giving their time and talents. When you see a volunteer, be sure to say ‘thank you’ to these special people.
