Nebraska Tech Collaborative to Host Handshake Webinar on December 8
On Wednesday, December 8, the Nebraska Tech Collaborative (NTC, nebtechcollab.com) will be hosting the Handshake Webinar on Zoom. This is an opportunity to learn from the team at Handshake new ways to discover and connect with over nine million students from over 1,400 colleges and universities. Join others from 1 to 2 p.m. to gain insight on the only all-in-one early talent recruiting platform!
The Nebraska Tech Collaborative is an Aksarben workforce initiative. NTC is business-led and comprised of over 100 business, government, education, and nonprofit partners all working together to drive results and scale to build a world class tech ecosystem in Nebraska. Tech jobs are found in every company and industry sector. Agriculture, Nebraska’s biggest industry, has a significant tech component and is a huge growth sector for careers in tech. But tech jobs in Omaha, Lincoln, and Nebraska have grown more slowly than other similar cities and states. NTC is going to work to increase the number of tech jobs in Nebraska by 10,000 and the number of new tech companies in Nebraska by 300 by 2025. They need everyone involved – businesses, government, educators, nonprofits – all working together as one with one message to drive scale.
