Ribbon Cutting Held for Brand New Home2 Suites by Hilton in Omaha

The Greater Omaha chamber held a ribbon cutting on April 29 to celebrate the opening of the Home2 Suites UNMC by Hilton (www.Omahai80at72ndstreet.home2suites.com) owned and managed by MH Hospitality. The 15.6 million dollar hotel is within walking distance of the University of Nebraska Medical Center and has 102 rooms and sits on the corner of Douglas, Dodge and Saddle Creek. All rooms furnished with kitchenettes, two indoor parking garages. There are a range of amenities including free breakfast, indoor pool, outdoor patio and fitness center, guest laundry, and pet friendly. Home2 Suites UNMC is located at 4440 Douglas St. in Midtown and a short 10 minute drive from Old Market shops, restaurants and a few blocks from the new Blackstone district. The hotel was open for business in August of 2021, but due to the pandemic, it was difficult to organize and plan for a grand opening.

The city’s second hotel also owned by MH Hospitality, The Home2 and Tru is 138-room property uniquely comprised of two separate wings, one of which houses extended stay suite style rooms on the Home2 side and the other holding Tru by Hilton with rooms targeted to younger aged minimalists. While the structure does contain two separate hotels, they share a common lobby, fitness area, and swimming area. This newest property is located at 7011 Hascall Street, behind the Coco Keys Waterpark. A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for later this summer.
