Save the Date: Outlook’s Blind Golfer Clinic and Tee It Up Fore Sight Golf Tournament

Outlook Nebraska (outlookne.org/golf) will host its annual Stanley Truhlsen, Jr. Memorial Blind Golfer Clinic and Tee It Up Fore Sight golf tournament fundraiser on June 4 at Indian Creek Golf Club. The Blind Golfer Clinic, which starts at 8:15 a.m. and concludes with lunch at 12:30 p.m., pairs visually impaired individuals with adaptive sports specialists and golf pros to learn driving, chipping, and putting techniques. Participants then use those skills to compete for prizes and complete three holes, followed by lunch. Outlook encourages people with vision loss ages nine and older to participate. The Tee It Up Fore Sight fundraiser is a four-person, 18-hole scramble with lunch provided at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon.

The Stanley Truhlsen, Jr. Blind Golfer Clinic and Tee it Up Fore Sight’s proceeds benefit Outlook Nebraska’s Outlook Enrichment programs. Outlook Enrichment helps blind or visually impaired teens to grow up self-reliant and self-assured, as well as enjoy life’s simple pleasures, such as the social aspects of a round of golf.

Outlook Nebraska makes it possible for people of all ages and walks of life who are blind, legally blind, or experiencing vision loss have the means to accomplish their goals through employment, adaptive technology training, recreational programs, cultural experiences, resources, and camaraderie.
