2019 BBB Integrity Awards Honor Omaha Businesses and Charities
The Better Business Bureau’s (www.BBB.org) 2019 BBB Integrity Award Winners were selected by independent panels of judges representing businesses and charitable organizations in metro Omaha. They were honored on September 10 at BBB’s 24th Integrity Awards Luncheon held at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in La Vista. BBB’s Annual Integrity Awards are designed to promote not only the importance of ethical business practices, but also the willingness and efforts made by outstanding businesses and charities that demonstrate a solid commitment to marketplace trust.
In the small for-profit business categories, one organization with 11–24 employees was selected to win an Integrity Award: Vision2Voice, a healthcare communications company that brings biopharmaceutical companies’ messaging to healthcare professionals with the goal of extending the lives and quality of life for patients. In the category for charities with fewer than 24 employees, the award was presented to Autism Action Partnership. In the large for-profit and not-for-profit business categories, the companies awarded were: Bridges Trust (25–99 employees); The Schemmer Associates, Inc. (100–249 employees); Seldin Company (250–499 employees); and WoodmenLife (500+ employees). The charity with more than 25 employees that received a BBB Integrity Award was Heartland Family Service.
The judges decided that other organizations that submitted applications were worthy of recognition too. Therefore, those also demonstrating that they placed a high priority on honesty and integrity in the workplace were recognized with “Silver Awards of Distinction” for significant commitment to ethical business practices and a “Bronze Award of Merit” for exemplifying the values of the BBB. The “Silver Award of Distinction” recipients were: Physicians Thrive; Total Construction Services, Inc.; Oxbow Animal Health; Florence Home Healthcare Center; and Travel and Transport. Miller Electric was presented with a “Bronze Award of Merit.”
