K.C. Belitz Joins Nebraska Community Foundation as COO

Nebraska Community Foundation (NCF; NebraskaHometown.org) proudly welcomes K.C. Belitz of Columbus to assume a new position, created to address the growing demand for NCF’s services throughout Greater Nebraska.

As chief operating officer, Belitz will head up a team of fund and community development, marketing and gift planning professionals working to build stronger communities and a Greater Nebraska.

In this new position, Belitz will work to advance three key goals critical to the success of 250 communities across the state that benefit from NCF affiliated funds and donors. These include using unrestricted endowments to create positive change that may otherwise not occur, researching and promoting effective practices to attract people to Nebraska hometowns, and ensuring that the NCF network is increasingly diverse and inclusive.

For nearly two decades, Belitz worked for the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, doing business and community development for 800 members and the Columbus region. He said he is eager to apply the skills learned in that position in a statewide context. Belitz will be based in Columbus but will also office in Lincoln.
