The Set Me Free Project Celebrates Success of 2019 Comedy for Change Event

The Set Me Free Project team is so grateful for everyone that braved the weather to join them for a fun night of laughter, an auction, dinner, and drinks at 2019’s Comedy for Change event on March 7! The event was a night that gave everyone permission to laugh. Sex trafficking is a very heavy topic, and the Set Me Free team wants to make sure that they and their supporters take a break and encourage everyone to enjoy themselves. This annual event brings a majority of necessary funds to The Set Me Free Project for the whole year. If you were not able to attend, but would still like to contribute a donation, please do so at setmefreeproject.net.

Additionally, The Set Me Free Project has recently posted job opportunities. The positions they’re looking to fill are: part-time educator; Americorps VISTA volunteer; data analyst/donor relations; and volunteer/outreach coordinator. All of the descriptions for these positions, as well as details to apply, are available on the website under the “connect” tab.

The Set Me Free Project’s goal is to stop trafficking before it starts. Everyone can have a part in this, #traffickingstopswithme. Educate yourself, encourage others to be educated. Awareness is only one step; prevention is a crucial element to ending human trafficking. For more, visit setmefreeproject.net or contact the organization at info@setmefreeproject.net / (402) 521-3080.
