LeWonderment Celebrates Grand Reopening
Guests enjoyed a day of exploration and curiosity at LeWonderment’s (www.lewonderment.com) Grand Reopening Celebration held on April 16. LeWonderment, located at 421 South 11th Street in Omaha’s Old Market, is a specialty gift shop for curious children and dogs that creates engaging activities with unique products and services that promote problem solving, scientific learning, family time, creativity and imagination.
LeWonderment had to close its doors for a period of time for cleaning and restocking inventory after the January 2016 Old Market fire. The Grand Reopening celebrated the efforts of Old Market shop owners and the community in revitalizing the area with a determined spirit.
The event featured an appearance by Nebraska native Bruce Arant, author of the popular children’s book, “Simpson’s Sheep Won’t Go to Sleep!” Along with a book signing, Arant also presented interactive drawing exercises, live character illustrations and demonstrate art tools and techniques. Drawings for prizes, mind-stimulating desk toy demonstrations for teens and adults, eight different interactive table activities and soft play mat activities for infants and toddlers were ongoing throughout the day. Dogs and dog lovers were also welcome and encouraged to check out “Pupicurious,” a fun and engaging environment for dogs featuring toys and games that teach, stimulate and entertain.
