Since last September, we have been introducing our readers to some of the most adorable employees in Omaha in our “Pets in the Workplace” feature—we do mean the animals, but the owners, executives and staff are fantastic too! In fact, as pet lovers ourselves at Strictly Business, our office enjoys frequent visits from the cuties you see pictured. We have very much enjoyed the last twelve months of seeing how welcoming Omaha businesses and organizations are of our furry friends, and our work isn’t done because there are plenty more fun stories yet to come!
As ambassadors in the workplace, many pets find themselves in this type of non-traditional home by accident or some random series of events–but no matter the reason, a home is a home. Sadly, it is a terrible truth that thousands of adoptable animals are being euthanized every day. When you adopt from a shelter or rescue group, you’ll give an animal a second chance at finding their forever home. Domesticated pets are loyal and intelligent animals that are able to adapt to just about any setting with a little bit of love and, of course, training. Moreover, the therapeutic quality of having a pet around helps to boost morale as it lifts the spirits of your employees and customers and generally makes the workplace more enjoyable.
