Meet Ripley, aka Lil Rip Rip. He’s a 3-year-old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel with “Ruby” coloring. Ripley is a “shop dog” who works at Loess Hills Floral Studio in Council Bluffs, IA.

Ripley works six days a week – his job duties include greeting customers and flower deliveries, but when anything else needs to be done, consider him there! Ripley started coming to Loess Hills Floral in July of 2013 after his owner (aka mom, Loess Hills Floral Studio owner Rhonda Bullington) purchased him from a local breeder in Lincoln, NE. The breeder contacted Rhonda, who is very familiar with the breed, and told her that she had a year-old Ruby that needed a good home. At the time Loess Hills Floral Studio had another shop dog, also a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, named Gabby.

Rhonda immediately fell in love with the little guy’s sweet face and drove to Lincoln to pick him up. Gabby didn’t know what to think of him at first, especially since he was butting into her territory both in the shop and at home along with the fact that she now had to share her mom, but luckily she got over it really fast and they became best buddies.

Sadly Gabby passed away unexpectedly on April 10th, 2015. With the sudden loss of Gabby, Ripley stepped up and filled the void that was left by his big sister although he and mom both still miss her very much. In fact just recently Ripley has been the face of the company as he’s been featured in the local media. One ad was even supposed to be specifically about the unique floral studio but Ripley stole the show! Rhonda has since decided that she will not replace Gabby, but rather that with Ripley’s big personality he will just get all of the extra love and attention that he needs.

All are welcome to stop by and visit Ripley at Loess Hills Floral Studio, located at 1010 S. Main Street in Council Bluffs or find out more at www.LoessHillsFloral.com.
