Husch Blackwell Names Kyle Gilster Office Managing Partner in Washington, D.C.

Husch Blackwell (huschblackwell.com) has appointed Kyle Gilster managing partner of its Washington, DC office.

A partner in the firm’s Financial Services & Capital Markets group and its Public Policy, Regulatory & Government Affairs practice, Kyle advocates advocating for client interests before the U.S. Congress and federal regulatory agencies to help them achieve their federal public policy goals. In addition, he provides campaign finance and election law counsel to clients that have interests in both political action committees and the local, state and federal election process.

Gilster joined Husch Blackwell in 2004 after working on Capitol Hill for six years, notably as legal counsel for the House Financial Services Committee under Chair Mike Oxley of Ohio and Subcommittee Chair Doug Bereuter of Nebraska. Gilster also worked in the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, the Nebraska State Legislature, and the U.S. House of Representatives.

A Nebraska native, Gilster earned his B.A. with distinction from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (1994) and his J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law (1997). He is a member of the American Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Nebraska State Bar and National Association of Manufacturers.
