Mike Gerst, owner of the 35-year-old Gerst Painting and Contracting announced that as a result of increased demand, he has added three new painters and a full time carpenter. Demand from residential and commercial property owners increased 42% over last year as the economy continues to recover and people are fixing up rather than selling or moving.
“This trend is occurring nationwide among the national painters group that I belong to,” stated Gerst. “In Omaha, as people decide to stay in their homes, they are adding color and personal flavor to their selections. Many are selecting environmentally friendly paints that aid in the protection of our planet at the same time.”
Gerst Painting and Contracting was formed by Mike Gerst, who started from his station wagon, and now employs 30 painters, carpenters and handymen, and today is one of the most recognized names in the industry among Omaha homeowners and businesses.
