Advent, LLP Adds Two New Team Players

Advent, LLP (adventip.com) is pleased to announce the addition of Jeff Knapp and Heidi Antonson to its Intellectual Property team.

Jeff Knapp

Jeff Knapp is a registered patent agent with over 25 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience. Jeff was a Patent Examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office for over eight years before becoming a patent agent. At Advent, Jeff focuses primarily on patent drafting, prosecution, searching, and prior art analysis. Jeff’s background is in Ceramic Engineering (holding both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees), but has worked in a variety of technology areas including materials science, general electrical and mechanical engineering, heavy machinery, and medical technologies. Jeff is also an inventor, holding two US patents, both for gas turbine engine technology.

Heidi Antonson

Heidi Antonson has been working as a patent illustrator since 2003. In her role at Advent, Heidi creates, designs, and reproduces drawings that comply with the drawing standards of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as various international patent offices. These drawings include mechanical figures, 3D designs and models, technology areas, such as mobile devices, computer hardware and software, human interface devices, telecommunications, oil and gas technology, medical devices, food science, web technologies, biotechnology, integrated circuits, agricultural technology, point of sale systems, and mechanical devices.
