Tracy Shutt Joins NAM to Lead New Financial Services Program

The Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM) (nonprofitam.org/FinancialServices) has created a new Financial Services program to assist its nonprofit members throughout Nebraska and western Iowa with their accounting needs and other day-to-day financial operations. Tracy Shutt has joined NAM as financial services director to lead the program. Shutt’s previous experience includes working as the director of finance for Completely KIDS, Film Streams and the Colorado Nonprofit Association, a state association similar to NAM.

The Financial Services program will provide reasonable fee-for-service assistance, including check processing, invoicing, monthly financial reports, payroll setup and much more. The purpose of the program is to help nonprofits outsource accounting functions to become more cost-efficient and allow more time for organizations to focus on their missions.

Shutt, who has more than 20 years of nonprofit account services experience, is qualified in preparing monthly financial statements; developing and implementing account systems; policies and procedures; grant tracking and reporting; budgeting; and audit preparation. Shutt earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Hastings College. She has worked for nonprofit agencies, including a health system, a foster care service and an art-house cinema.
