Outlook Nebraska, Inc. (ONI), a nonprofit organization providing employment and other opportunities for people who are blind and visually impaired, is having its 2014 Banquet to Celebrate the Capabilities of the Blind on November 7. It will be taking place at the LaVista Embassy Suites Convention Center, located at 12520 Westport Parkway.

The evening will highlight the accomplishments of ONI, its associates and others that value the impact that ONI is able to make on the lives of the blind. It will include a cash bar reception, banquet, awards and a special segment highlighting the second annual Blind Golf Academy. Eight blind and visually impaired individuals learned golf techniques from the pros that included putting and chipping during this year’s Blind Golf Academy.

The emcee of the evening will be Rob McCartney, who has been a part of the KETV Newswatch 7 team since 1992.  According to ONI CEO Eric Stueckrath, the funding from this event will benefit opportunities for the blind and visually impaired to break through the barriers of economic and personal independence. Tickets are $75, and a table of 10 is $750. For more information about Outlook Nebraska, Inc. (ONI) and to register, visit www.outlooknebraska.org or call 402-614-3331.
