The Heartland Chapter of JDRF, Omaha/Council Bluffs Office, recently announced its newly elected members to the Board of Directors.

Elected to a first two-year term are Bob Begley, Vice President of Lockwood Development; Kate Grabill, Professional Volunteer; Steve Loftus, Group Enrollment Coordinator for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska; and Othello H. Meadows, III, Executive Director of Seventy-Five North Revitalization Corp.  Begley, Grabill, Loftus and Meadows join the existing members of the Board, who were elected to second and third two-year terms, including:  Kathy Merwald, Vice President of Product Marketing for Infogroup; Chris Richardson, Director of Facilities for Telvent in North America; Courtney Vacanti, Realtor with CBS Homes; Jess Zeiss, Principal of the Institutional Sales Team for First National Capital Markets; Josie Abboud, Vice President of Methodist Hospital; Randy Burns, President/CEO of Foundation First Corporation and its subsidiary Foundation First Bank; Lindi Janulewicz, Marketing Director for Interiors Joan and Associates; Mike Robino, Senior Financial Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors; Chuck Tomek, co-founder of Nebraska Emergency Medicine; and Matt Walsh, Commercial Lending Officer with Security National Bank.

Also joining the Heartland Chapter of JDRF, Omaha/Council Bluffs Office as the Executive Director is Brevard Fraser.  Fraser moved to Omaha in mid-2011 from Atlanta, where she managed the Southeast regional philanthropy program for Deloitte LLC for 10 years.  Fraser worked with key Deloitte non-profit partners including the United Way, Junior Achievement, College Summit and many other non-profit organizations.  Fraser brings a wealth of corporate philanthropy experience to the JDRF Heartland Chapter and will be instrumental as JDRF continues to expand their reach in Nebraska and move JDRF’s mission forward.
