Tracks Lounge, located at 1506 S. 60th Street, has officially re-opened for business after extensive remodeling.  Owner Anne Konen purchased the old Trackside building in 2012. After the previous owner died in May of 2013, Anne decided to remodel and update the 49-year-old bar.  Understanding the place the Trackside had in the history of horse racing at Aksarben, Anne chose to add nostalgic memorabilia from that era as a major part of the décor.

Craft beers, a larger line of bourbons and whiskeys along with several craft cocktails will separate the old Trackside from the new Tracks. The lounge has created a signature shot paying homage to Who Dr. Who, a Nebraska bred thoroughbred that captured the hearts of race fans in the 80s.

The kitchen is open at 11:00 a.m. each day and continues to serve the “World’s Best Chicken” and the equally legendary beef sandwiches. Tracks Lounge is proud to feature a sampling of this area’s finest musical talent several evenings a week. Sunday’s Bloody Mary Bar will surely be a crowd pleaser.  Konen’s vision is for Tracks Lounge to become a cozy neighborhood hangout that will naturally bring people together as well as being a place where memories and traditions are revived. For more information about Tracks Lounge, go to www.trackslounge.com.
