SCORE to Honor Entrepreneurs of the Year
Greater Omaha SCORE (www.omaha.score.org) will be selecting and honoring the Entrepreneurs of the Year on May 12, 2016. David Gregg, SCORE Chair, invites the public to come and hear their success stories and to encourage them and other entrepreneurs and small businesses. Speakers for the event are Bob Hoig and Andy Hoig, Midlands Business Journal.
The Entrepreneurs will share what made them successful and what they see in the future for their business. Those selected will have utilized SCORE’s counseling and workshops in starting and growing their businesses which have been established for over a year. The SCORE certified mentor who counseled them will also be recognized and will share why he/she nominated the entrepreneur.
Gregg states that “Small businesses are good for the economy, representing more than 99.7% of all employers while employing half of all private-sector workers. Moreover, 71% of entrepreneurs who counsel with SCORE go into business and continue to be successful.” SCORE provides FREE one-on-one counseling, workshops that help businesses structure and grow their business and provides follow-up counseling as long as the client needs them.
