Immanuel has named Beverly Todd development director of the new Immanuel Community Foundation. In her role, Todd will help launch the foundation and will have responsibility for day-to-day operations.

Todd brings more than 20 years of nonprofit and foundation experience to her new position, including executive positions with Literacy Center, Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure, Girl Scouts-Great Plains Council and Conestoga Public Schools Foundation.

The Immanuel Community Foundation will help fulfill the organization’s mission of providing Christ-centered service to seniors and to each other by building a fund to support Immanuel Community residents.

Immanuel has a 120-year legacy of providing Christ-centered service to the community. Together with Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), Immanuel is a co-sponsor of Alegent Health, the area’s largest health care provider. In addition, Immanuel owns and operates five independent and assisted living campuses in Omaha, Papillion and Lincoln that include affordable housing for people who meet age and income restrictions.

Immanuel’s impressive occupancy levels of more than 95 percent, sizable cash reserves, conservative debt profile, affiliation with Alegent Health and limited competition have resulted in reaffirming of an A- (A minus) rating by Fitch Ratings, a global credit rating agency.
