River City Six – Daniel Epstein

Meet Daniel Epstein, a Business, Construction, and Litigation attorney with Goosmann Law Firm’s Omaha office (www.goosmannlaw.com).

Tell us a little about your role with the firm.

I represent owners, general contractors, developers, architects, subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, insurers, and lenders in countless disputes, state and federal lawsuits, and arbitrations. As a complex problem solver, I try to listen closely to each client’s needs and goals to formulate a strategy to help them overcome any obstacles standing in their way.

How did you get started in the business?

I developed an interest in becoming an attorney at a young age from watching my father in the courtroom. He was an attorney, so growing up, I watched him represent people and help defend their interests. So, from a young age, I always viewed being an attorney as a noble profession.

Tell us a little about your family.

I am married to Michelle, a personal injury attorney here in Omaha. We have three wonderful girls: Ella, Lilly, and Lucy.

What are you most proud of?

I would have to say that I am most proud of raising three smart, beautiful, and caring girls.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

I like to start the morning off with a cup of coffee, put some meat on the smoker, spend the day with family and friends, and then, entertain over food and drinks at night.

If you could have a super power, what would it be?

The ability to time travel. I was a history major, so the ability to be a spectator during historical events would be fascinating.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?

I would choose to be an astronomer. Space has always intrigued me, so I would love to study and observe other galaxies, stars, and planets.

Which talent would you most like to have?

The ability to sing and play musical instruments. I can’t carry a tune or play any instruments, but I love music.

What local non-profit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why?

I am on the Board of Directors for the Jewish Community Center. I spent a great amount of time during my youth playing sports at the JCC. I love having the opportunity to help the JCC grow and expand for future generations.
