Mark your calendar for the 4th Annual Team Jack Golf Classic (teamjackfoundation.org/golf), presented by Omaha Steaks! Join us on Monday, June 23 at Tiburon Golf Club in Omaha for a meaningful day on the course, with all proceeds supporting childhood brain cancer research. Each corporate team will be joined by a former Nebraska Football player to form a five person team, making for a memorable and impactful experience.
The tournament was launched in 2022 by former Nebraska Football players Rex Burkhead, Jeremiah Sirles, Brent Qvale, and Kenny Bell, longtime supporters of the Team Jack Foundation. Their connection to the cause dates back to their college days, when young Jack Hoffman captured hearts with his unforgettable 69-yard touchdown run during the 2013 Nebraska Football Spring Game. These players remain dedicated to growing the event year after year.
Nebraska has the seventh-highest rate of childhood brain cancer in the United States, with only six states, all located in the eastern U.S. ranking higher. The state also ranks among the highest in childhood brain cancer mortality rates. While we are proud to support groundbreaking research efforts around the world, we are equally dedicated to advancing the Nebraska Childhood Brain Tumor Program at UNMC and Children’s Nebraska. Every child in our region deserves the highest standard of care, and the proceeds from the annual Team Jack Golf Classic are helping to make that a reality.
