John Lund, CEO of The Lund Company, a Cushman & Wakefield Alliance Member, was recently recognized in Midwest Real Estate News Magazine’s “Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame” honoring individuals who have made significant contributions in commercial real estate. Lund was recognized for his impact on the commercial industry in Omaha and his involvement in a variety of high-profile deals which have expanded the area’s growth. Major accomplishments include the redevelopment of Regency Court into a lifestyle center and the redevelopment of the 450 Building which was voted “Development of the Year” in 2012 by the Commercial Real Estate Workshop (CREW). Other notable accomplishments in his career include the development of the PayPal Campus, Vatterrot College, Securities America Corporate Headquarters and the Coventry Health Care building.

Lund was also recognized for his ongoing commitment to the Omaha area through his works in a number of community organizations. He is currently serving a two-year term as Chairman for the Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority Board (MECA) and is Secretary/Treasurer for the Regency Office Park Association Board. He is also a board member for the Omaha by Design Advisory Committee. Lund is a past board member of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Commercial Investment Council/Board of Realtors. He also served a Governor-appointed six-year term as a member of the Board of Educational Lands and Funds (BELF) and is an alumnus of Leadership Omaha.
