The Child Advocacy Center is proud to announce that Kathy Bolkovac has joined its team as the Training and Prevention Director. Bolkovac is an international speaker and published author on human trafficking, ethics, and anti-corruption issues. Bolkovac was a Lincoln Police Officer for 10 years specializing in child abuse and family violence. She also served two years as a human rights investigator for the International Police Task Force in Bosnia. Bolkovac has provided instruction and training on peacekeeping operations at universities, non-governmental organizations, national defense departments, and community organizations.

In her new role at the Child Advocacy Center, Bolkovac will be responsible for providing outreach and delivering training to community groups, including schools, churches, youth serving organizations and other nonprofit agencies including the identification and reporting of child abuse and neglect and the role of the Child Advocacy Center. She will also design and develop a child abuse prevention program for the community focused on general awareness of the scope of the problem, its impact on our community, and action steps for individuals and organizations to become actively engaged in combating abuse.
