The YMCA of Greater Omaha (metroymca.org.) is proud to announce that it has been recognized by the American Red Cross as a 2024 Top Provider Award recipient, marking the sixth consecutive year the Y has earned this prestigious honor. This award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in delivering Red Cross health and safety training programs.
In 2024, the YMCA trained 811 individuals in lifesaving skills, including CPR, AED, first aid, and lifeguarding. These trainings were delivered to both YMCA staff and members, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to act during emergencies.
“This award is a direct reflection of the dedication and passion our instructors bring to every class,” said Rebecca Deterding, President and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Omaha. “Our staff’s commitment to continuous education and training, and to the safety of those in our care, is nothing short of inspiring. We’re incredibly grateful for their efforts.”
