Women’s Center for Advancement (WCA) has selected ten distinguished honorees to be recognized at its annual Tribute to Women event on Tues., June 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hilton Omaha. A Tribute to Women Award is considered to be one of the most prestigious honors in Omaha.
The 2015 Honorees are: Gail Deboer, President, SAC Federal Credit Union; Wanda Gottschalk, Community Volunteer; Angela Hewlett, MD, Assistant Professor, UNMC Division of Infectious Disease, and Associate Medical Director NE Biocontainment Unit; Sherrye Hutcherson, Vice President Corporate Services & Chief Administrative Officer, Omaha Public Power District; Julie Kalkowski, MSW, Director, Financial Hope Collaborative at Creighton University; Julie Medina, Deputy County Attorney, Douglas County Attorney’s Office; Sergeant Kimberly Retzlaff, Omaha Police Department; Jane D. Rogers, Community Volunteer; Linda Bakula Willis, Community Volunteer; Mary Zicafoose, Mary Zicafoose Textiles.
The 2015 honorees were chosen from a distinguished list of nominees on the basis of their impact and achievements. All honorees have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to helping women and their children stay safe and grow strong.
