Women’s Center for Advancement (WCA) has selected ten distinguished honorees to be recognized at its annual Tribute to Women event on Tues., June 10, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites LaVista Hotel and Conference Center. A Tribute to Women Award is considered to be one of the most prestigious honors in Omaha.
The 2014 Honorees are: Amy Deardorff, Community Volunteer; Joni Fogarty, Professional Educator, Omaha Historian and Author; Karen Linder, Principal, Linseed Capital LLC, President & Co-Founder, Tethon 3D Inc.; Beth Llewellyn,Vice President, Mission Integration at Alegent Creighton Health; Lou Ann Linehan, Principal, Linehan and Associates; Malorie Maddox, Anchor & Reporter, WOWT NBC; Annette Smith, Community Volunteer; Jean Stothert, Mayor of Omaha; Julie Vose, M.D., M.B.A., Chief, Division of Hematology/Oncology, Professor of Medicine, UNMC; Lisa Wolford, President & CEO, Constellation West.
The event is co-chaired by WCA Board Vice-Chair Gary Lebens, Assistant Treasurer, Valmont Industries, Inc. and WCA Board Secretary, Diana Mehochko, President DMM Consulting. The Selection Committee, chaired by WCA Advisory Committee member and past Tribute to Women honoree Susan Lebens, was comprised of community leaders, including past Tribute to Women honorees.
