Seeking Homeowners, Teams for 2016 Paint-A-Thon

Applications for BRUSH UP NEBRASKA Paint-A-Thon (www.brushupnebraska.org) are now available! The deadline for homeowner applications and team registrations is May 27th. Paint-A-Thon has been serving the community for 28 years. The organization helps low-income homeowners in Douglas and Sarpy Counties, and Council Bluffs, Iowa, who are over 60 or permanently disabled at any age, by painting the exteriors of their homes. Applicants must meet the resident and financial guidelines listed on the official application. The goal for 2016 is to paint 85 homes with the help of over 1,400 volunteers.

An independent committee of professionals from housing and human service organizations identifies and selects qualified homeowners. These homeowners will have their homes painted at no charge to them on “Paint Day” Saturday, August 20th.
