Rejuvenating Women Invites Amie Ellis to Speak at Human Trafficking Awareness Event

Rejuvenating Women (rejuvenatingwomen.com) has invited Amie Ellis to be the special guest speaker for their Save the Next Girl (and Boy): Omaha Awareness Night on April 16 at 7 p.m. at the new Xcel Community Center located in the Millard area. Time and location of this event are subject to change based on attendance numbers, so check the savethenextgirl.org website for updates.

At the fundraiser, Amie will lead a human trafficking Q & A panel discussion. She will also tell her story of how her daughter became a victim of human trafficking. More than a month later, with the help of an amazing network of FBI, law enforcement, family, and the support of a nonprofit organization, Amie’s daughter was rescued and reunited with her family. Amie now has a passion to help prevent others like her daughter from becoming victims.

In addition, Rejuvenating Women has planned a Rowing Fundraiser event on April 18 at two local gyms, West O Fitness and Nerve Health & Fitness. The 24-hour event will spread awareness of the dangers of human trafficking while generating donations for Rejuvenating Women’s trauma-informed, holistic recovery program—Restored Wings Home & Program. This recovery effort provides a home and family atmosphere for victims and survivors of human trafficking. Survivors can stay up to two years and have access to in-depth counseling, case management, tattoo branding removal, and legal services during their stay.
