This Thanksgiving, Project Intentional (projectintentional.com) once again demonstrated the impact of intentional love through a powerful community collaboration in North Omaha. Focused on restoring dignity, offering hope and uplifting women and caregivers, Project Intentional hosted a welcoming Thanksgiving pop-up where families were invited to share a hot meal and experience genuine connection.
More than 50 companies and nonprofits united behind this effort, bringing together resources, volunteers and services to ensure the day was meaningful for every guest. Thanks to their collective support, over 200 people received not only a full Thanksgiving meal but also warm coats, hygiene products and heartfelt hugs that reminded them they are seen and valued.
Under Project Intentional’s leadership, partners including 50 Mile March, Adrea Clark, Realtor, the North Omaha Community Partnership, Mr. Picnic and Smokin’ Barrel BBQ helped transform donated ingredients into a festive holiday gathering. Their contributions, which included meals, supplies, tables, chairs and hands-on service, demonstrated what can happen when a community shows up with generosity and purpose.
While the food brought comfort, the deeper impact was the atmosphere of dignity and togetherness. Families shared stories, laughter and moments of relief, reinforcing that community is built through simple acts of kindness.
This effort embodies Project Intentional’s core belief: when people come together with compassion and purpose, love truly makes a difference. Their ongoing commitment ensures that no family walks alone, even on their hardest days.
