Project Harmony Joins Rank Among Other Leaders at International Conference on Child Abuse
Project Harmony (www.projectharmony.com) shared the stage with other national and international leaders in prevention, detection, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of child abuse and family violence at the 30th Annual San Diego International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment.
Nearly 2,000 professionals from across the United States and 30 nations around the world gathered January 25 – 28 to focus on multi-disciplinary best-practice efforts to prevent, investigate, treat and prosecute child and family maltreatment including child abduction.
Deb Anderson, MSW, Ph.D., Director of Connections (a newly-created mental health program for children and families) at Project Harmony, presented the first day on Building Resiliency in Child Welfare Organizations. The next day Dr. Anderson presented on The Impact of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Training on Mental Health Professionals. Also, Nick Zadina and Mandy Busch, Training Specialists at Project Harmony, were selected out of 200 conference submissions to present on preventing child abuse.
