Project Harmony Implements New Cloud-Based Technology for Child Advocacy Centers
On October 30, Project Harmony became the first to implement VidaNyx CAC Edition, a cloud-based video management solution designed for the specific needs of child advocacy centers (CACs), providing technology innovation that supports the victims of childhood sexual assault and abuse. VidaNyx CAC Edition was developed by VidaNyx LLC, incubated by Giving Tech Labs, and inspired by Project Harmony.
Through research and meetings with Project Harmony, Giving Tech Labs discovered the operational challenges in handling access to forensic interviews, tracking the chain of custody, running a smooth operation and ensuring long-term archiving potential to best serve the needs of children, law enforcement, the justice system, evidence-based therapy, and ultimately the liability of the child advocacy center. VidaNyx works with all existing video recording systems and offers the following:
- Increase case management capacity
- Comprehensive chain of custody
- Closed-captioning – BETA
- Encrypted downloading copies for off-line access
- Comprehensive reporting and dashboards
- Secure and reliable long-term archiving
- Decreased threat of human error
- Decreased hidden operating costs
Project Harmony is one out of seven child advocacy centers in the state of Nebraska and one out of 850 nationally-accredited CACs, serving a collective 335,000 children each year. Learn more at www.projectharmony.com or call (402) 595-1326.
