Outlook Nebraska, Inc. (ONI) has scheduled its 11th Annual Golf Tournament for Thursday, June 5th. Proceeds from the tournament will go to Camp Abilities Nebraska, a week-long residential sports camp for youth ages 9 to 19 who are blind, visually impaired or deaf-blind. The event will be held at Indian Creek Golf Course, 3825 N. 202nd Street in Omaha. Registration opens at 10:30 a.m., and the tournament begins at noon with a shotgun start. The participant fee is $125 per person and $500 for a four-person team.
This year’s tournament is packed with fun activities for everyone, including the second Blind Golfer Academy, which will provide blind individuals with the opportunity to learn golf from a pro. Established in 2000, ONI provides employment and workplace training to the blind and visually impaired in a converting operation that supplies a full line of 100 percent recycled fiber content tissue and towel products that are distributed to local and national customers.
