Open Door Mission is pleased to announce that their Project Santa program provided more than 6,000 children with brand new toys for Christmas. This program provides Christmas gifts for children up to 18 years old. “Each year with Project Santa, we are invested in providing gifts to children who otherwise would have nothing to open on Christmas Day,” says Candace Gregory, President/CEO. “Just knowing that thanks to the generosity of the community many children in the Heartland received toys for Christmas brings joy to our hearts!”  Open Door Mission is seeing a 46% increase in prevention services at the Timberlake Outreach Center compared to this time last year.  In addition to Project Santa, 25,000 Thanksgiving meals were provided to men, women, and children in the Heartland.

Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission that provides 816 men, women, and children with safe shelter beds, serves more than 2,000 hot nutritious meals, and provides preventive measures to more than 275 families living in poverty. Open Door Mission offers life-changing programs for those recovering from life-altering addictions and abuse to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.  For more information about Open Door Mission, please call (402) 422-1111 or visit opendoormission.org.
