Last month, the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards (OEAA) (oea-awards.org) recognized and celebrated local artists, musicians and performers at The Admiral! The celebration was hosted by The Weisenheimers, a comedy group with five OEAA awards under its belt and serenaded by Parfait & Friends, which won this year’s OEAA award for Outstanding Cover Band.

OEAA’s cultural stewardship award was renamed to “John Heaston Award for Cultural Stewardship” in tribute to OEAA’s founding board member, John Heaston. Additionally, this year continued its theme of breathtaking trophies, created by Matthew Shrader, studio manager at Crystal Forge.

Voting is already open for next year’s OEAA ceremony and closes August 31.
