New Officers Selected for MLCDC’s Board of Directors

Midlands Latino Community Development (www.midlandslatinocdc.org) was established in 2006 as a nonprofit community development corporation working in the greater Omaha area. MLCDC’s mission is to provide Latinos with opportunities to generate economic growth and develop a sustainable future in the Midlands.  MLCDC is governed by a nine-member board of directors made up of highly qualified community residents, business leaders and civic leaders from a range of professional disciplines.

New officers were selected at the MLCDC Board of Directors meeting on April 18, 2016. The new President of the Board of Directors is Ranferi Carbajal-Solis. Ran is the District Manager of Wells Fargo Bank. The Vice-President of the Board of Directors is Maria Valentin, Administrative Director of the South Omaha Surgical Center. The Treasurer of the Board of Director is Eric Faurote Ph.D. Eric is a Financial Consultant for AXA Advisors. The Secretary of the Board of Directors is Yanira Garcia. Yanira is part of the Department of Marketing in UNO.

Other members of the MLCDC’s Board of Directors are: Catherine Lang, specialist in Economic Development and Workforce Development;   Carol Russell, Community Advocate and Volunteer;  Yolanda Diaz, owner of Little Miss Fashion LLC;   Merlyn Menjivar, owner of Twins Daycare; and,  Elia Rivera,  owner of Melina’s Salsa, Chips, and More.
