Nebraska Logistics Council Awards Scholarships, Professional of the Year

The Nebraska Logistics Council (www.nebraskalogisticscouncil.org) awarded three $500 scholarships and the Supply Chain Professional of the Year award at their annual fundraiser, held September 2 in Bellevue.

Student receiving scholarships included:

Megan Henderson, Millard South High School. Henderson is enrolled in the UNO High School Dual Enrollment Program and MCC Business and Logistics Management Career Academy. Henderson is interesting in attending UNO, UNK, UNL or Iowa University to pursue a degree in supply chain management or international business.

Nathan Marx, Millard North High School. Marx is enrolled in the Logistics Academy at Millard Horizon and MCC. He is interested in attending UNK or UNO to pursue a degree in supply chain management or become a storage and distribution manager.

Brady Conant, Adams Central High School. Conant is also enrolled at Central Community College. He is planning on attending UNL to pursue a degree in supply chain management and has been accepted into the College of Business Administration Honors Academy.

David Hale, Lozier Corporation was recognized at Supply Chain Professional of the Year. Hale started with Lozier Corporation in 1981 as Traffic Manager for the Omaha, NE facility and is currently Logistics Relations Manager. Hale’s focus is on strategic service provider capacity, reliability, sourcing, contracts, rates, and relationships.
