The 3rd Annual Ribstock BBQ competition sponsored by the Millard Business Association was held at Super Saver Millard on June 26-27, 2015.
34 professional plus 10 amateurs BBQ’ers from the metro area and as far away as Florida competed for the $12,000 in prize money and trophies. Over 750 ribs were served for the “People’s Choice” competition.
Area vendors served barbecue, snow cones, iced coffees, slushies, pizza, popcorn, etc. and all the kids in attendance were entertained at the free kidz zone. A fireworks display sponsored by Bellino Fireworks was Friday at dusk. The event featured two local bands, Eckophonic and Lemon Fresh Day.
A portion of the proceeds go to the Millard Business Community Foundation to support their projects in the Millard area. Two projects include the Scholarship Fund and Project Wee Care.
