The Millard Business Association recently held its 11th Annual Gala on Thursday, April 24 at the Georgetown Club and the theme was “The Roaring 20’s”.  The following individuals and companies received recognition:  Citizen of the Year: Justin Lorimer, RE/MAX Results; Large Business of the Year: Super Saver Millard; Small Business of the Year: Corpuz Family Dentistry; Entrepreneur of the Year: Bill Hipsher and Brandon Taylor, B2 Interactive; Professional of the Year: Ed Leistad, Safeguard Systems; Millard Business Landmark: Midwest Laboratories. Hall of Fame Inductees: Grover E. Nelson, Grove E. Nelson, William A. Nelson with the former Bank of Millard, and the Millard Lions Club, Inc.  CARE Awards were presented to: Xeta Xi Sorority Supper Club, Carrie Novotny-Buss (Niehardt Elementary Principal) and Nancy Brosomle (Rowher Elementary Principal).  In addition, Mayor Stothert presented six $1000 scholarships to Millard area graduating seniors.  Please visit the Millard Business Associations website (www.millardbusinessassociation.org) and Facebook page to view photos of the event.
