Kiwanis Club of Omaha Awards Grants to Area Non-Profits

The annual Kiwanis Club of Omaha (www.kiwanisomaha.com) Recognition Gala and Auction was held on April 21st at the Omaha Hilton. The Omaha club awarded $20,000 in grants to selected non-profits that benefit area children with basic needs. Those receiving grants at this year’s gala were The Assistance League of Omaha, Catholic Charities, Completely Kids, The Children’s Respite Center, Heart Heroes, Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy, Hope Center for Kids, Kids Can Community Center, The Salvation Army, and the YMCA of Greater Omaha. Fusion Medical Staffing was the recipient of a first-time award, the Distinguished Business of the Year. In addition, longtime Kiwanian Trish Lynch received The Charles Cairns Distinguished Kiwanian Award for her service to the downtown Omaha club.
