JE Foundation Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink Out Campaign

Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital (jehfoundation.org) Breast Leadership Team and the Jennie Edmundson Foundation have teamed up again to provide the community with education and awareness in its fight against breast cancer. Each year during the month of October, the JE Foundation and the MJE Breast Health Center come together to raise awareness and funds through the sale of their Pink Out t-shirts. Your participation in purchasing t-shirts helps the organization to assist individuals who may be uninsured or under insured to receive mammograms.

Annual mammograms are necessary to be proactive in fighting breast cancer, as well as educating one’s self about the disease, signs, and symptoms. The MJE Breast Health Center specializes in breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment planning in a safe and warm environment. The intimate surroundings are integral in providing individualized care, education, and needed emotional support. The goal of the Center is to deliver a diagnosis within a week or sooner, and to provide as much information as possible.

The Center is committed to providing outstanding service using a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach. The Breast Health Center and a certified Breast Health Navigator become the central points of contact.
