JDRF Announces Team Walk Times for One Walk Event October 10

JDRF (jdrf.org/nebraskaiowa) has announced the team walk times for the One Walk event set for Sunday, October 10, at Mahoney State Park. Teams will be walking alphabetically, and the schedule is as follows: A-C teams start at 9:45 a.m., D teams start at 10:45 a.m., E-J teams start at 11:45 a.m., K-N teams start at 12:45 p.m., O-S teams start at 1:45 p.m., T teams start at 2:45 p.m., teams that begin with “team” start at 3:45 p.m., and U-Z teams and individual walkers start at 4:45 p.m. Teams can arrive up to 45 minutes prior to their walk time in order to participate in activities and photos.

Omaha and Lincoln’s JDRF One Walk events are being combined into one this year, though there are still separate fundraising pages for each location (walk.jdrf.org/lincoln and walk.jdrf.org/omaha). The walk aims to raise awareness for type 1 diabetes (T1D) and to fundraise for accelerated research. Masks are required for everyone regardless of vaccination status while at the activity center/ event pavilion. JDRF also asks that you practice social distancing with others outside of your family to help keep their vulnerable population safe.
