The Nebraska Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation recently held their 4th annual Hope Brews event Friday, April 25th at the Marriott Regency in Omaha.  The evening was hosted by Blue Moon Founder and Master Brewer Keith Villa.  Villa traveled from Denver to provide the 200 attendees with educational information about the brewery and the beer/food pairings.  The event grew 60% from the prior year due to the increased sponsorship and the portion of the evening where attendees donate money for CF research.

Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects 30,000 adults and children in the United States and 70,000 people worldwide. It causes debilitating lung infections that lead to premature death. More than 10 million Americans are symptomless carriers of the CF gene.  If you are interested in the Nebraska Chapter and the fight against CF, please contact the Nebraska Chapter at (402)-330-6164 or Nebraska@cff.org.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. The Foundation funds more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support.
