Green Omaha Coalition Rebrands to Celebrate 10th Anniversary
The Green Omaha Coalition (GOC; greenomaha.org) proudly announces the launch of its new logo and website, www.GreenOmaha.org. As the organization enters a second decade of serving the community, it is positioning itself to engage a broader audience and encourage more individuals and corporations to join the green economy. The rebranding effort enhances the GOC’s ability to endorse sustainability and fulfill its brand initiative – COLLABORATION. EDUCATION. ADVOCACY.
Over the past decade, the GOC has continued to evolve in order to best fulfill its niche within Omaha’s green movement. As the GOC moves away from its original five council structure, the updated logo better represents the organization’s future. With the emergence of so many sustainability focused organizations in Omaha, the GOC can streamline its role: to strengthen the collective efforts of its members, the community and like-minded partners; to educate the public on environmental issues by promoting local green events, news and opportunities; and to inform community decision-makers and voters on the importance of environmental sustainability. The new visual representation will also further recognition of the organization’s acronym and identity.
Citizens or corporations interested in participating in the GOC’s efforts can do any number of things: become an active member, volunteer to help with an event, join a committee, or become a corporate sponsor. Members receive free admission to GOC events, including the upcoming Reel to Real Sustainability Film Festival on Oct. 27 and the Green Home Tour and Smart Energy Expo on Nov. 5.
