Educare of Omaha, Inc. (educareomaha.org) is participating in #GivingTuesday402, the Omaha metro’s local version of the global Giving Tuesday movement, with a special twist called Giving TWOsday.
Giving Tuesday is a worldwide day of generosity that inspires people to give, share kindness, and support their communities. In the Omaha area, #GivingTuesday402, powered by SHARE Omaha, encourages donations to local nonprofits on Tuesday, Dec. 2, with opportunities to give starting Nov. 18.
Educare of Omaha serves children from birth to age five and their families, providing high-quality early learning, family engagement, and teacher support. This year’s Giving TWOsday campaign highlights the organization’s two-year-olds, joyful and curious learners who are building the foundation for lifelong success.
Supporters are invited to “give in twos” — donate $2, $20, or $200 — or complete two acts of kindness, one for someone in their life and one for Educare. Starting November 18, every donation counts toward daily prize drawings through SHARE Omaha, giving early contributors a chance to help Educare secure bonus funds to serve more children and families.
Giving TWOsday reflects Educare’s mission of supporting the partnership between families and educators to ensure every child thrives.
