Concordia Schools of Omaha recently announced that they will introduce the 1:1 iPad Initiative for grades 7-12 in the school year of 2014-2015.  All grade 7-10 students are required to have an Apple iPad2, iPad Retina Display, or iPad Mini (any iPad excluding the original) as part of their daily school supply.  School textbooks and apps will consume up to 15GB of storage space.  The iPad is recommended, but not required for grade 11-12. The iPad will utilize wireless connectivity. There will be no use of 3G or 4G connectivity for school purposes. Concordia Schools Omaha believe students today need a 21st-century communication tool that they can use to collect, synthesize, and produce evidence of their learning.  The improvements to the iPad and the global adoption of the tool make its integration into the educational life of students an obvious step for schools to take.
