Child Saving Institute Seeks Substitute Santas for Kids

Child Saving Institute (CSI; childsaving.org) will help put the happy in “Happy Holidays” for hundreds of children and teens in the greater Omaha area, but the agency needs the assistance of many Substitute Santas. Anyone can become a Substitute Santa by purchasing gifts or gift cards and bringing them (unwrapped with tags intact) to CSI between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., December 5–7.

In past years, CSI has received donations from a variety of companies, families, individuals, and civic organizations. With the help from the community, CSI provided gifts for almost 800 children in 2017.

Those who plan to bring a large number of gifts should arrange for drop-off in advance by contacting Megan Webb at (402) 504-3663 / mwebb@childsaving.org. Substitute Santas also have the option to make a cash gift online at childsaving.org/newsevents/substitute-santa.

Child Saving Institute (CSI; childsaving.org) is dedicated to the prevention, intervention, and healing of child abuse, neglect, and abandonment. For 125 years, CSI has met the changing needs of metro area children based on the belief that all children should have homes where hope is kindled and dreams can be achieved. The CSI is located at 4545 Dodge St.
