Child Saving Institute Seeks Foster Parents for Children in Need

Child Saving Institute (https://childsaving.org/) is in need of more foster parents for children in need of loving, nurturing role models. These youths need safe, secure homes to shelter them from the trauma and pain they have had in their young lives. If you’re willing to become that safe haven and change a vulnerable child’s life, the Child Saving Institute wants to hear from you.

Child Saving Institute offers one-on-one ongoing support for foster parents, including home visits for a foster-care specialist, ongoing educational opportunities and connections with experienced foster parents, and a team of people working together with you to ensure success and healthy relationships. Perhaps most important, you get access to an experienced, caring staff that is available to answer your phone calls any time of the day or night.

To be a Child Saving Institute foster parent, you must: be at least 21 years old and a resident of Douglas or Sarpy counties; be able to satisfy additional licensing requirements established by the State of Nebraska; participate in an 11-week foster-parent training class; provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment; agree to be the primary provider for the foster children in your care, providing housing, transportation; serve as a member of the child’s treatment team; assist the child in setting and accomplishing goals; participate in home visits; and keep notes and records documenting the child’s care and progress.
