Channel 94.1 Hosts 17th Annual Diaper Drive for Open Door Mission

In December 2019, Channel 94.1 hosted a diaper drive at the Linden Market Hy-Vee to support Open Door Mission’s (www.opendoormission.org) efforts through which they collected diapers from individuals, families, groups, and businesses. Over one million diapers were collected during the drive. The diapers will be distributed to parents experiencing homelessness by Lydia House and Open Door Mission’s other outreach centers.

Volunteers also helped unload the diapers from Werner trucks and then sort them at the Open Door Mission Campus. The diaper unloading party included chili, chicken noodle soup, and hot chocolate for volunteers.
