CBCBennington Celebrates One Year Anniversary

CBCBennington (www.countrybible.org), a satellite of Country Bible Church in Blair, NE, recently celebrated one year in its newest location, meeting at the Bennington High School Fine Arts Center every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

An anniversary potluck and ribbon cutting ceremony with the Western Douglas County Chamber of Commerce was held on April 3. Over 130 adults and children attending the CBCBennington service gathered together afterwards to celebrate.

The satellite opened its doors for the first time last Easter Sunday, with dozens of volunteers making the Sunday setup and service possible each week. CBC’s central office is located at the original location in Blair, NE, but the Bennington site has its own campus Pastor, John Collicott, and Worship Director, Taylor Venema, who both live in or near Bennington, as well as CBC’s Lead Teaching & Preaching Pastor Nick Bank, Th.M from Dallas Theological Seminary, who moved to Bennington last year.

Several new churches have launched in Bennington in the past year, all looking to serve the skyrocketing population of the Omaha suburb. Bennington’s population has grown 85% in the last 15 years.
